Between the Old City (the historic centre) and Piazza Mazzini (the modern centre) is the Villa Comunale, and it’s from here you can head northeast up Via Giuseppe Parini / Viale Giovanni Paolo II towards Salesiani, or instead up Via Imperatore Adriano (which becomes ‘Via del Mare’, which in turn becomes ‘Viale della libertà’ towards Zona Stadio. Both Salesiani and Zona Stadio are mainly suburban areas but if you know, you know, and below I’ve highlighted a couple of things that are good to know if you’re staying here.
