Juras
At the time of writing Juras is probably the best burger I’ve eaten in Lecce. It’s because their meat is the closest thing I’ve had here to that kind of juicy soft chuck style patty you get in the UK/US. And the medium was almost medium. The buns are a bit bappy, with the maccy d’s style sesame finish, but basically everything else is either good or great.
Juras does other stuff too which I haven’t sampled but I’m sure is excellent. Staff are super friendly and there’s a few quality beers on tap. It’s a really nice place too especially considering it’s in a new building on a fairly soulless roundabout albeit only a stones throw from the picturesque Torre del Parco. You’ll easily spot the paneled glass windows, abundance of wooden furniture, and warm lighting if you’re stood anywhere nearby outside.
Juras is not central and while walking there is only about 10-15 mins from Porta S.Biagio or Piazz.Mazzini, from anywhere else in Lecce it’s probably more like 45 minutes to an hour. However if you’re really craving a decent burger and nice beer it’s worth it, it easily steals a march on anywhere else in Lecce in my book.
